This stallion service
contract for the breeding season of ___________ is made
and entered into on this __________ day of
_________________________, by
and between CW Warpaint
Ranch/Carolyn Warren, hereafter designated as
"Breeder",
and___________________________________________________
hereinafter designated as "Mare Owner". Mare Reg. No. __________________,
to the APHA#_______/PtHA#_________
stallion, _________________________,
hereafter
referred to as the Stallion.
This contract is subject
to the following terms and conditions:
1. The Mare Owner agrees to pay a Stallion Service
Fee of $________. which includes a non-refundable
$150. booking fee. The Mare Owner will return this
signed contract, the booking fee, and a current copy of the mare's registration
papers. The balance of the breeding fee and all unpaid expenses are due when
the mare is picked up. Mare will not leave breeder’s facilities until balance
is paid in full. All fees must be paid in cash.
2. The
mare will have no back shoes. Front shoes are allowed. The Mare Owner will be
responsible for half the vet bill for the Stallion should the Mare injure the
Stallion during breeding. Mare owner shall pay all fees if needed to remove
hind shoes should a farrier need to come out and remove them.
3. The
Mare Owner is responsible for all necessary expenses incurred for the mare and
her foal's well being while at CW Warpaint Ranch.
This will include board, vet, farrier, etc. Board is $5. (dry),
$8. (wet) per day.
4. The
breeder will provide suitable arrangements for the mare (and foal) while at CW Warpaint Ranch. CW Warpaint
Ranch/Carolyn Warren will not be held responsible for any accident, sickness or
death to the mare and/or foal. We will also exercise judgment in the care and
supervision of the mare and/or foal. If the mare does not conceive, however, we
will be held harmless.
5. If the
mare dies, does not get in foal or does not produce a live foal, the Breeder
has the option to accept another mare as a replacement, or return for the
following season. There is a $50. re-breed fee (plus
mare care) if bred the following season.
6. The
Breeder’s Certificate will be issued to the Mare Owner after all expenses have
been paid in full, and upon notification of the birth of the foal. The Stallion
owner requests at least one photo of the foal.
7. A live
foal is considered a foal that is able to stand and nurse for at least 72
hours.
8. There
is a Limited color guarantee when breeding to ChicOlenasSugarDaddy.
When the mare does not carry a grey gene, the resulting colors may include:
palomino, buckskin, dunskin, dunalino,
cremello, perlino, smokey black, grullo,
all depending on the genes of the mare as well. If you get a sorrel, chestnut,
bay or black, you may re-breed for free. You must pay mare care expenses during
re-breeding. Resulting foal and the mare must be genetically tested to verify
color to be eligible for free re-breeding. Grey gened
mares do not receive the limited color guarantee. They do receive a Live Foal
Guarantee.
9. It is
hereby agreed that this contract is entered into the State of Arizona, City of
Buckeye, and will be adjudicated in this jurisdiction, should a dispute arise.
